Remove/install

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2  m).

Remove connection fitting downstream of charge air cooler.

 Installation: Only install upper engine cover after the leak test.

Remove screws (2) and release throttle valve actuator (1).

 Bolt, throttle valve actuator to mixer housing

Remove retaining clamp (3) of electrical wiring harness from throttle valve actuator (1).

Disconnect electrical connector (4) and remove throttle valve actuator (1).

 Installation: Replace sealing ring (5).

Clean sealing surfaces at throttle valve actuator (1) and mixer housing (6).

Assembly cleaner

Seal opening at mixer housing (6) with suitable protective cover.

Install in the reverse order.

Read out, clear fault memory and perform initialization of throttle valve actuator (1).

If throttle valve actuator (1) is replaced.



Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Perform engine test run and in this connection check engine in area of throttle valve actuator (1) for leaks.
