Remove/install

Remove charge air line from check valve to additional compressor

Release and disconnect electrical connector (2) at charge air pressure and temperature sensor (B4/32)

Remove bleed line (3) from check valve (4)

Remove center strut behind center partition

Loosen screw clamp (5)

 Screw clamp, boot to exhaust gas turbocharger

Remove screw/bolt (1)

 Screw, check valve to chain case cover

Detach check valve (4) and boot from exhaust gas turbocharger and remove upward

 Installation: Slide on new boot up to end stop.
Align marking on the new boot with the arrow on the exhaust gas turbocharger.

Remove boot from check valve (4)

 Installation: Replace boot.

 Screw clamp, boot to exhaust gas turbocharger

Remove screw (6) and remove charge air pressure and temperature sensor (B4/32)

When installing new check valve (4).

 Installation: Replace O-ring.

Install in the reverse order

 Metric screws/bolts and nuts as per MBN 10 105, 10 143
