1 | Remove induction module | ||
2 | Detach air intake pipe (2) at turbocharger (1) | Installation: Inspect condition of hose clamp (3), replace if necessary. Install head of screw of hose clamp (3) facing up, to the front. | |
3 | Remove bottom part of noise encapsulation | Remove only bottom section of noise encapsulation at the front. | |
4 | Remove catalytic converter (25). | Installation: Inspect pipe clamp (2), replace if necessary. Do not remove catalytic converter (25) from engine compartment, but only place to the side. | |
5 | Unscrew bolts (7) and detach noise muffler (19) at turbocharger (1) | Installation: Replace compression ring (6). Inspect condition of hose clamp (18) of charge air hose (23), replace if necessary. | |

6 | Unscrew banjo bolt (4) and detach oil feed line (21) at turbocharger (1) | Installation: Install new sealing rings (5). | |

7 | Remove bolt (16) and bolts (15). Detach oil outlet line (22) at turbocharger (1) | Installation: Replace gasket (17). Collect oil which flows out in a suitable vessel. | |

8 | Unscrew bolt (9), take off support (10) and heat baffle plate (8) at turbocharger (1) | Carefully bend heat baffle plate (8) up in order to again access to the bolts (14). | |

9 | Unscrew bolts (14) and detach turbocharger (1) at exhaust manifold (13) | Installation: Clean sealing surfaces. | |

10 | Detach vacuum hose (20) at vacuum unit (24) | Raise turbocharger (1). This makes it easier to gain access to the vacuum hose (20). | |
11 | Lift turbocharger (1) up and out | ||
12 | Install in the reverse order | ||
13 | Inspect engine oil level, adjust to correct level if necessary |
