1 | Remove engine cover | ||
2 | Remove right air filter housing (2) | ||
3 | Disconnect electrical connector at left hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/6) | ||
4 | Disconnect electrical connector at right hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/7) | ||
5 | Disconnect electrical connector from vent line heater element (R39/1) | ||
6 | Detach the hose (3) of the crankcase ventilation system at the cyclone separator | ||
7 | Slacken hose clamp (4) at turbocharger | ||
8 | Loosen hose clamp (5) at air filter housing (2) on the left | ||
9 | Pull engine air intake duct forwards downstream of the air filter (1) | Installation: Do not squash sealing ring between turbocharger and engine intake air duct downstream of air filter (1). Parts of a squeezed sealing ring damage the turbocharger | |
When replacing vent line heater element (R39/1) the rubber seal must first be mounted on engine intake air duct downstream of air filter (1). Ensure free of grease mounting of heating element and seal in the process. | |||
