Remove/install

Remove engine cover

Remove air filter housing

Unclip bleed hose (2) for crankcase ventilation system at engine air intake duct upstream of charge air cooler

 Installation: Replace seal.

Disconnect electrical connection from pressure sensor downstream of left cylinder bank air filter (B28/5)

Unclip vacuum hose (3) at engine air intake duct (4)

Unfasten clamps (6) and remove engine air intake duct (4) at ATL

The engine air intake duct (4) must first be mounted on sealing ring (7) otherwise the sealing ring (7) can be pinched.
Parts of the crushed sealing ring (7) may then damage the turbocharger.

 Installation: Replace sealing ring (7).

Remove pressure sensor downstream of air filter, right cylinder bank (B28/5)

When replacing the engine air intake duct (4).

 Installation: Replace seal.

Install in the reverse order
