 Danger

Risk of explosion caused by escaping hydrogen or overheating of the fuel tanks when working on the hydrogen system. Risk of frostbite to body parts caused by escaping gas and by touching component parts carrying gas when emptying fuel tanks. Risk of asphyxiation caused by inhalation of air diluted by hydrogen. Risk of burn injuries by coming into contact with an invisible pale blue hydrogen flame.

Print out "tank system, fuel cell, form event log," fill out, and attach to the vehicle somewhere clearly visible.

Remove fuel cell control unit (N116/2) from the air filter housing (5) and place to one side with connected electric lines.

 To avoid disconnecting the electrical connectors from the fuel cell control unit (N116/2).

Remove intake air duct (1).

Disconnect electrical connectors (2).

Unclip electrical wiring harnesses (3) from air filter housing (5) and place to one side.

Unscrew screw (4).

 Screw/bolt, air filter housing to air filter housing bracket

Remove air filter housing (5).

 Installation: Coat decoupling elements (6) with antifriction paste.

Check that decoupling elements (6) are seated correctly and check for damage.

If there is a problem,



replace decoupling elements (6) and position correctly.

Install in the reverse order.
