Remove/install

Remove air intake pipe (2) and air intake pipe upstream of air filter (3) from air filter housing (4).

Remove purge lines (5, 6) from air filter housing (4).

Unclip, release, disconnect electrical connector (8) from air filter housing (4) and remove wiring harness from air filter housing (4).

Release and disconnect electrical connector (9) of pressure sensor downstream of air filter (B28/11).

Unclip retaining clip (10).

Remove engine wiring harness from holder (11).

Remove ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10) from air filter housing (4), attach to vehicle with lines attached and free of tension, and secure against falling down.

Remove screw (7).

 Screw, air filter housing to charge air distributor

Remove air filter housing (4).

 Installation: Moisten rubber guides with lubricant and press air filter housing (4) evenly into rubber guides.

Remove pressure sensor downstream of air filter (B28/11).

When replacing air filter housing (4).



Check

Check rubber guides for wear and damage.

If there is a problem,



Replace rubber guide.

Install in the reverse order.
