Remove/install

Remove high-pressure exhaust gas recirculation cooler.

Unclip electric lines (7) from lifting lug (3) and place them to one side.

Remove screw (1).

Remove screw (5).

 Installation: Replace screw (5)

 Screw, bracket for low-pressure exhaust gas recirculation cooler to cylinder head cover/low-pressure exhaust gas recirculation cooler/lifting lug

Remove screws (2) and lifting lug (3).

 Lifting eye at cylinder head (cross-installed)

Release and disconnect electrical connector (9).

Remove screws (4).

 Installation: Replace screws (4).

 Screw, mixing tube/coupling flange to throttle valve actuator/charge air cooler

Remove coupling flange (6) with charge air pipe (8) from throttle valve actuator (M16/6).

Remove coupling flange (6) from charge air pipe (8) and take out in an upward direction.

Release and disconnect electrical connector from throttle valve actuator (M16/6) and remove throttle valve actuator (M16/6).

 Installation: Replace seals.

Install in the reverse order.

Read out and delete fault memory.


