Remove/install

Perform commissioning of ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10).

If ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10) is replaced.

Clamp off ground line of on-board electrical system battery (G1).

Remove cover over ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10).

Release retaining clips (1).

Release and disconnect electrical connectors (2, 3) at ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10).

Remove ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10).

Install in the reverse order.

Read out and delete fault memory.

Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
