Do not carry out any work on system when it is pressurized.

Remove/install

Disconnect ground line from battery.

Remove upper engine cover.

 Installation: Only install upper engine cover after the leak test.

Remove front noise insulation.

 Installation: Do not install the front noise insulation until after the leak test has been performed.

Release and disconnect the electrical connection (1).



Clean

Clean the area around the fuel pressure and temperature sensor (B4/25).

Reduce the fuel pressure in the fuel high-pressure circuit.

Remove the fuel pressure and temperature sensor (B4/25).

 Pressure and temperature sensor to fuel distributor

Install in the reverse order.

Read out and delete fault memory.



Check fuel high pressure circuit for leaktightness.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Carry out engine test run and check engine for proper operation and leak tightness.

Install the front noise insulation.

Install upper engine cover.
