No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking. Pour fuels into suitable and appropriately marked containers only.
Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

Remove/install

Detach exhaust gas recirculation cooler and place with attached coolant lines to one side

Unlock and unplug electrical connection (1) on fuel pressure sensor (B4/7)

 Installation: Ensure that electrical connection (1) is correctly engaged on the fuel pressure sensor (B4/7).

Unfasten clamp (2) and detach fuel hose from fuel pressure sensor (B4/7)

Remove screw/bolt (3) and take off fuel pressure sensor (B4/7)

 Screw/bolt, water outlet to charge air distributor

Install in the reverse order

Connect diagnostic system, read out fault memory and delete if necessary



Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Carry out an engine test run and check fuel system for leaktightness
