Remove/install

Remove rear section of lower engine compartment paneling

Remove air filter housing

Disconnect electrical connection of DPF differential pressure sensor (2)

Detach rear bracket for air filter housing (3) with DPF differential pressure sensor (2) to one side

5.1

Disconnect electrical connection (1) and detach from bracket at oil pan

For vehicles with CAT-DPF device.

5.2

Disconnect electrical connection for temperature sensor upstream of diesel particulate filter (B19/9)

For vehicles with CAT.

 The electrical connection of the temperature sensor upstream of diesel particulate filter (B19/9) is fastened to the right rear engine suspension lug.

Loosen electrical line for temperature sensor upstream of diesel particulate filter (B19/9) from clamps

Remove temperature sensor upstream of diesel particulate filter (B19/9)

 Installation: Coat thread of connection with heat-resistant lubricant.

 Union nut, temperature sensor upstream of diesel particulate filter

Install in the reverse order



Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
