Remove

1

Remove valve spring retainers (2) and valve springs (3).

Remove the valve stem seals (6).

Remove cylinder head (1) from the assembly device and remove valves (5).

Check

4

Check surface of valve stems for roughness and ridging (visual inspection or with nail).

If roughness and ridging are present,



replace affected valves (5).

Perform visual check of the remaining component parts of the valve train for damage and wear.

If damage and wear are present,



Replace affected components.



Install

6

Install valves (5) and attach cylinder head (1) to the assembly device.


Ensure that the air bellows of the  assembly device is always aligned correctly with a combustion chamber and presses into the center.
The air bellows may otherwise be pushed out of the side of the combustion chamber and this causes damage to the valves (5).

 Observe operating instructions for assembly device  .

Install new valve stem seals (6).
