 Caution

Risk of injury to skin and eyes due to handling of engine oil. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing engine oil

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not fill engine oil into beverage containers.

Remove/install

Remove the valve stem seals (5).

Close the compressed air valve on the assembly device (01) and let compressed air out of the assembly device (01).

 Follow operating instructions of manufacturer of   assembly device (01).

Remove the cylinder head (1) from the assembly device (01).

 Follow operating instructions of manufacturer of   assembly device (01).

Remove the valves (6).

General information on checking valves, valve seats and valve guides

Check

5

Check valve stems for formation of burrs and pitting.

If ridging is present,



Deburr valve stems.

If pitting is present,



Install new valves (6).

Check the valve seats for pitting and cracks.

If pitting or cracks are present,



Replace cylinder head(1).

Install in the reverse order.
