Remove

Remove toothed belt.

Enlarge bore for screw (5) in retaining lock (4) to Ø 8.5 mm.

If retaining lock (4) is still in original condition.

Install retaining lock (4) with suitable screw (5) on cylinder head and camshaft sprocket (3).

Remove camshaft sprocket (3).

 For this purpose, remove screw (3s).

Remove retaining lock (4).

Remove radial shaft seal (1).


Do not damage camshaft (2) and sealing surfaces at camshaft housing and cylinder head.
Leak tightness is otherwise no longer ensured.

 Dispose of radial shaft sealing ring (1).

Clean

Clean sealing surfaces at camshaft housing and cylinder head with lint-free rag.



Install

Install new radial shaft seal (1).


Do not damage camshaft (2) and sealing surfaces at camshaft housing and cylinder head.
Leak tightness is otherwise no longer ensured.

Install camshaft sprocket (3).

 For this purpose, slightly tighten screw (3s) by hand.

Install retaining lock (4) with screw (5) at cylinder head and camshaft sprocket (3).

Tighten screw (3s).

Install toothed belt.

 Warning

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
