Check

Check basic position of camshafts.

Adjust

Loosen screws (8s).

Position camshaft above the center bolt until the camshaft sprocket (2) and the bore (3) are flush in the cylinder head (1).


Turn center bolt of the camshaft without any jerky movements.
Otherwise, the center bolt will become unfastened.

If the adjustment range of the camshaft sprocket (2) is not sufficient,



Remove toothed belt and reposition.

Screw in screws (8s).

Pull drift catch (4) out of bore (3).

Install

Remove drift from the bore of the cover bolt (6).

Screw in cover bolt (6).

 Cover screw to crankcase

Slide bracket (9) onto stud bolt.

Screw in screw (10).

Attach nut (11).

Clip electric line (12) into bracket (9).

Install the charge air cooler.

Position engine carrier (7) and screw in screws (5).

Install toothed belt covers.

Install poly-V-belt.

Attach ground line of the on-board electrical system battery (G1).

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
