7 | Remove tappet dipsticks (3) | ||
8 | Remove anti-vibration pulley | ||
9.1 | Remove fuel pump | ||
9.2 | Remove cover or holder of reversing pulley before the camshaft (1) in the engine block | Replace gasket. | |
10 | Remove all injecting units | ||
11 | Rotate engine inside of the assembly device | Rotate engine approximately 180° so that the tappets (4) are released from the camshaft (1) | |
12 | Remove crankcase | ||
13.1 | Remove position sensor of the camshaft (B16) or TDC sensor cylinder 1 (camshaft) (B16) out of the engine block | Install: Replace the O-ring (2) and press the position sensor of the camshaft (B16) or TDC sensor cylinder 1 (camshaft) up to the end. | |
13.2 | Pull TDC sensor (B48) out of the engine block | Install: Replace O-ring (2) and press TDC sensor (B48) up to the end. | |
14 | Assemble timing case (6) | Engine 904.9 | |

15 | Remove crankshaft (1) from the engine block | ||

16 | Remove tappets (4) from the engine block | Identify the valve tappet (4) in relation to the engine block. | |
