Install retaining lock for crankshaft/starter ring gear

Remove bolt (1)

Installation: If no angle tightener is available, the bolts can be turned by the specified angle in a single stroke, using a socket wrench and locking handle (1).

In order to avoid any angle errors it is not permitted to use a flexi-rod torque wrench for tightening to angle degrees as this falsifies the tightening torque.

Take off flywheel (2)

Transmission 716.6

The flywheel (2) is individually balanced in the factory and can therefore be replaced without balancing.

A certain installation position of the flywheel (2) is fixed by the straight pin (3).

Take off drive plate (4) and washers (5)

Transmission 722.6

The drive plate (4) is individually balanced at the factory, and can therefore be replaced without balancing.

A certain installation position of the drive plate (4) is fixed by the straight pin (3).

Install in the reverse order
