Remove bottom engine compartment paneling

Unscrew nuts (1) and remove bolts from transmission bell

Remove cover (2) from crankcase



Checking

Checking toothing on starter ring gear

 Inspect gearing for wear and damage.

 Model 211, 219 except model 211.08 /09 /28 /29: Crank engine at the center bolt on the crankshaft in direction of engine rotation.



 Model 211.08 /09 /28 /29: Crank engine at torque converter in direction of rotation of engine.

 If necessary: 

Replace drive plate.

 Insert retaining lock (01) into access opening

 Continue to crank engine as required until  retaining lock (01) latches into starter ring gear.


