Removing, installing

Remove oil pan

Remove timing case cover

Remove oil pump

Remove tensioning rail

Remove guide rail in timing case cover

Remove oil pump drive chain (3)

 Inspect oil pump drive chain (3) for wear, replace if necessary

Pull off tensioning arm (4), bush (5) and spring (6)

Remove timing chain (7)

 Inspect timing chain (7) for wear, replace if necessary

Use puller (10) to pull off crankshaft gear (1)


 Installing: align woodruff keys (2), heat crankshaft gear (1) and push onto the crankshaft

Install in the reverse order
