4 Radial sealing ring

 	Remove/install
1	Remove engine		AR01.10-W-2400JC
2	Mount engine on engine assembly stand	 Use an angle bracket.
3	Remove oil pan (2)		AR01.45-W-7500J
4	Remove starter (M1)	 Installation: Check starter drive pinion for wear; replace starter (M1) if necessary.

5.1	Remove flywheel (3)	Vehicles with manual transmission	AR03.30-W-8002J
5.2	Remove ring gear carrier	Vehicles with automatic transmission	AR03.30-W-8005J
6	Remove timing case (1)	 Loosen the timing case (1), using a plastic mallet if necessary.
		 Installation: Check the timing case (1) for damage, and replace timing case (1) if necessary, transferring all detachable parts.

7	Clean sealing surfaces	 Installation: Apply sealing compound.	*BR00.45-Z-1026-01A
8	Remove radial sealing ring (4)	 Installation: Only install radial sealing ring (4) when the timing case (1) is mounted on the cylinder crankcase.	AR03.20-W-3063J
9	Install in the reverse order
