Remove/install

Remove the cylinder head

Remove the injector support combinations

Remove the cap (1) on the cylinder head

 Installation: Replace the O-ring (2).

Place an appropriate support piece (11) between the valve plate and the support

 Height of support piece (11) approx. 5.3 mm.

Remove the piston (4) with needle nose pliers (12)

 Installation: If necessary, replace the piston (4) and the sealing ring (3).
Apply motor oil to the piston (4) and the sealing ring (3) and install them.

Compress the spring (7) with the valve assembly tool (13) and remove the tapered keys (5) using the magnetic pin (15)

 The tapered keys (5) must fit.

Relieve the spring (7), remove the top spring plate (6), spring (7) and the spring guide (8)

 Installation: Seat the spring guide (8), the spring (7) and the top spring plate (6) on the tappet stem (9).

Rotate the cylinder head and remove the valve (9)

 When removing the various valves, identify them regarding the installation site.

 Installation: Slightly lubricate the valve stem (9) with motor oil, insert the valve (9) and place the support piece (11) (height approx. 5.3 mm) on the valve plate.

 Observe the identification regarding the installation position.
