Do not pull oil dipstick guide tube (4) out of oil pan yet.

Remove oil pan bottom section

Retract oil dipstick guide tube (4) out of oil pan and pull out from bottom

Installation: Replace sealing ring on oil dipstick guide tube (4). When fitting the oil dipstick guide tube (4), ensure the sealing ring is not pressed into oil pan.

Detach bracket (2) for steering gear high-pressure line from oil pan

Screw/bolt, power steering pressure line to oil pan

Detach bracket for left oil line (1) and bracket for right oil line (3) from oil pan

Screw/bolt, oil line bracket to oil pan

Remove banjo bolts from the left-side and right-side oil lines on the automatic transmission


Seal line connections immediately.
Ingress of dirt or foreign objects can occur otherwise which will lead to damage and malfunctions on the A/T.

Installation: Install new sealing rings.

Remove bracket for O2sensor connectors at oil pan

Do not disconnect O2sensor connectors.

Detach connector from oil sensor (oil level, temperature and quality) (B40)

Remove plastic screw (5)

A screw/bolt (8) to secure the oil pan to the cylinder crankcase is located below.

Remove screw/bolts (7) of support bracket at left engine support

Collar bolt, left supporting clamp to engine support

Detach oil pan

Installation: Observe different bolt lengths and bolt diameters as per bolt plan.

Clean sealing surfaces on oil pan and on cylinder crankcase

Do not use any sharp-edged tools or abrasive paper.
The sealing surface will be damaged otherwise.

Install in the reverse order

Check engine oil level approx. 5 minutes after switching off engine (after reaching operating temperature), if necessary adjust to correct level


Vehicle must be horizontal and standing on its wheels.
Measurement errors can occur otherwise.
