Remove

Remove pulse ring (2).

Remove crankshaft position sensor and place to one side with electric line connected.

Do not disconnect electrical connector.

Clean crankcase (3) and oil pan top section (4) in area of end cover (5).

Remove screws (5a, 5b).

Remove end cover (5) with radial shaft sealing ring (6) from crankcase (3).

Do not pound in any tool between the end cover (5) and crankcase (3) to remove.
The sealing surfaces can get damaged otherwise.

Position tool for removing at the side notches of the end cover (5).
Warm up sealant as required.

Clean

Clean sealing surfaces.
