Disconnect engine wiring harness for removal of engine

Disconnect electrical connection (1) on CDI control unit (N3/9).

Disconnect electrical connection (2) for oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter.

Disconnect vehicle interior and engine wiring harness (X26) electrical connection.

Disconnect electrical connection (3) for temperature sensor upstream of CAT.

Remove cover (4).



6

Detach electrical lines (5, 6, 7, 8) at firewall and fix to engine.


Do not mix up electrical lines (5, 6, 7, 8); mark if necessary.

Disconnect electrical connection (11) from intelligent servo module for DIRECT SELECT (A80).

Disconnect electrical connection from electrical auxiliary oil pump (M42).

Vehicles with code 427 (7G-TRONIC)
Detach heat shield (9) from transmission.

Vehicles with code 427 (7G-TRONIC)
Disconnect electrical connection (10) from fully integrated transmission control controller unit (Y3/8).

Detach transmission housing ground line at body.
