2 | Check activation tape (4) | Check activation tape (4) for tight seating on oxygen generator (2). The activation tape (4) must be attached making contact with two adhesive points on the perforated plate. Check locking cotter pin (6) for tight seating. | |
The locking tape (5) is removed during installation. It serves only as a transport locking device and is thus no longer present when the oxygen generators (2)are installed. | |||
3 | Check expiry date of oxygen generator (2) | The embossed date on the valve (3) of the oxygen generator (2) shows the date of manufacture. The expiry date is ten years after the date of manufacture. | |
If the expiry date is already exceeded or it is imminent, the customer should be informed about this. The oxygen generator (2) may only be replaced after consultation with the customer, see: | |||

5 | Check expiry date of escape hoods (11) | Escape hoods (11) are located are located in the right front of the passenger compartment in the safekeeping container (12) and in the rear under center tunnel cover (10). | |
The expiry date is embossed on the individual escape hoods (11) (arrow). If the expiry date is already exceeded or it is imminent, the customer should be informed about this. The escape hoods (11) may only be replaced after consultation with the customer. |
