Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near engine

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.

Start engine

A minimum coolant temperature of
50 °C must be ensured.

Switch on air conditioning and set temperature control switch to max. cooling output

See air conditioning operating instructions.

Remove grille (1)

Allow engine to run at approx. 1500 rpm

Check refrigerant level in inspection glass (2) after approx. 10 min

The air conditioning is correctly filled when the refrigerant is visible without any bubbles in the inspection glass (2).

If there are a lot of bubbles:

Check air conditioning circuit for leaks
- subject to separate repair order.

Switch air conditioning off and turn engine off

Install grille (1).
