

Remove from the wheel hub (5) the radial seal (2) and the taper roller bearing (3)



Clean

Remove the old grease from the wheel hub (5) and from the taper roller bearings (3, 7)

 Do not use solvents to remove the grease and clean the bearings and the wheel hub. For cleaning, use a clean and lint-free cloth.



Check

Check the inner (3) and outer (7) taper roller bearings and the outside races of the bearings (4, 6) for wear or damage

 In case of wear or damage in any of the bearings - either internal or external - or their races, they should be replaced always in pairs.
If necessary, replace tapered bearings with separated invoice.



Install

Install the outside race (4) and the taper roller bearing (3) in the wheel hub (5)

 Lubricate with grease the bearings and fill the wheel hub with the specified quantity of grease.

Install the radial seal (2) on the wheel hub (5)

 Use a new seal. Apply sealing compound on the seal's outside surface. Oil the seal lips after the assembly.
