Apply parking brake

Release wheel bolts or wheel nuts on front wheels.

Raise vehicle at front axle

Place vehicle on jack stands.

Position jack and jack stands at the specified lift support points.

Remove front wheels

On balanced disk wheels, mark installation position relative to front wheel hub (6).

Remove front wheel hub (6)

Remove/install front wheel hub (6)

Clean front wheel hub (6)

Clean inner tapered roller bearing (5) and outer tapered roller bearing (8).

Checking

Check condition of inner tapered roller bearing (5), outer tapered roller bearing (8) and check for signs of wear

In event of damage to inner tapered roller bearing (5) and outer tapered roller bearing (8), they may then only be replaced as pairs:

Grease inner tapered roller bearing (5), outer tapered roller bearing (8) and front wheel hub (6)

Grease thoroughly and fill front wheel hub (6) as well as grease cap (11) with prescribed quantity of grease.

Remove/install front wheel hub (6)
