Open the engine access cover
Access to carry out of the maintenance and repair works differs according to the body type/manufacturer
Refer to the body makers instructions.

Remove pawl from ball terminal (2) and detach engine brake activation air cylinder rod (1)
Apply resistant grease at high temperatures.

Test flap shaft movement smoothness

Examine air cylinder (1), joint part and flap shaft for wear

Test lever secure attachment at flap groove end

Adjust the pre-tensioning (D) of the pneumatic cylinder mounting
This measurement will be correctly adjusted when pneumatic cylinder rod (1) is pulled according to correspondent measurement.
The prior-tension eliminates the vibrations caused by the valve (throttle), thus avoiding the premature wear of the engine-brake assembly.
