Deactivating and releasing transmitter keys
The radio frequency locking control module and the engine control module are mutually assigned by means of a fixed identification code. For this reason, the electronic locking number portion of the locking code stays with the vehicle for its entire lifetime, i.e. only the mechanical locking number portion may change.
If a transmitter key is lost, this means:
The electronic locking number portion remains the same invalidate lost transmitter key by desynchronizing the control module.
Change mechanical locking number portion install all-round mechanical locking with new mechanical locking number. Assignment of the new mechanical locking number to the vehicle must be guaranteed.
If the RFL control module is defective, this means:
Electronic locking number portion is retained install new control module with same locking number.
If a mechanical locking portion is defective, this means:
Locking number is retained replace locking portion and retain locking number.
Desynchronization
If a transmitter key is lost, the control module must be desynchronized and the mechanical locking replaced.
A lost transmitter key can be invalidated for the vehicle using the procedure described on the next page.
This does not affect keys that have never been operated (especially those that were not delivered).
The HHT is not used for desynchronization in this system.
Desynchronization / synchronization
1) The ignition should be switched on and off twice within 6 sec. in order to activate desynchronization / synchronization.
2) After ignition OFF, operate an activated transmitter key within 3 sec.
3) Operate the same key a further 3 times within 6 sec.
4) Wait for 10 sec. Re-synchronization is now possible after 10 sec.
5) Operate all the keys that are authorized for the vehicle at least once.
The specified times and number of operations must be complied with!
If no transmitter key is operated in phase 5, no transmitter keys are deactivated or activated.
A deactivated transmitter key can be activated again using the same procedure by operating it in phase 5.
Operate transmitter key means: send one HF message - i.e. open or close the key!
