Individual control modules can be checked by selecting "Fault Memory" from the "Functions" menu. The digits of the codes stored in the control module then appear together with the relevant texts.
A maximum of 3 faults can be stored in the ABS/ABD control module. If a fault is detected, the Sila ABS lights up and the fault is stored in the fault memory of the control module as a fault code number.
A distinction is made between detecting a fault and storing the fault as follows:
Fault occurring (current fault)
Fault occurred, no longer occurring
(stored fault)
The fault memory is not deleted if the power supply to the control module is disconnected.
The stored faults can be read out at the diagnostic socket with ignition "ON".
Procedure in the case of current faults:
Process faults as described on the display of the HHT.
Procedure in the case of stored faults:
Erase the fault memory, conduct a road test and read out the fault memory again. If the fault is stored again, check lines, fuses and connections for loose posts and corrosion using the current circuit diagram.
