AD07.52-S-7000A | Fuel pressures and internal leaks (PEC) testing hydraulics | 23.4.97 |
ENGINE 111.948 /978 in MODEL 638
Danger! | Risk of explosion due to ignition, risk of poisoning due to inhaling and swallowing fuel and risk of injury due to fuel coming into contact with skin and eyes. | Fire, sparks, naked flame and smoking forbidden. Only pour fuels into suitable, appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.
Connection and use of test equipment
Fuel injection and ignition system (PEC) diagnosis, previous knowledge
| Before separating the fuel line, reduce fuel pressure by disconnecting the fuel pump relay and operating the starter. | ||
a | Connect pressure tester with T-adapter piece at fuel line separation point in fuel supply hose between engine and body.
b | At the end of the test, reduce fuel pressure using the measuring beaker and allow residual fuel to escape.
Testing | |||
1 | Fuel pressure at idle (with vacuum), testing hydraulics, fuel pressures and internal leaks (PEC)
2 | Fuel pressure at idle (without vacuum), testing hydraulics, fuel pressures and internal leaks (PEC)
3 | Fuel system for internal leaks, testing hydraulics, fuel pressures and internal leaks (PEC) |
