Check oil level of hydraulic power steering, correct if necessary.



 If the oil level of the hydraulic power steering has dropped below the minimum marking, the hydraulic power steering must be bled and a leak test performed in a later operation step.



Remove

4.1

Remove front trim.

Model 470 except code Y1J (underbody protection)



 Remove only the lower trim on the front bumper and the front trim.

4.2

Remove front underbody protection.

Model 470 with code Y1J (underbody protection)



 Remove only the lower trim on the front bumper and the front underguard.



Clean

Turn wheels to the left.

Clean working area on union nut, high-pressure line to steering gear (1).
