Please remember that on model 172 as from the facelift, the side windows in the rear can be closed or moved up and down with the retractable hardtop down.
Therefore, the design concept means that the side windows in the rear have been moved slightly inwards in comparison to the front side windows. The following dimensions must be considered before making any adjustment operations.
Depending on the light intensity, angle of vision and distance involved, a light gap can occur in a range (b) from up to 70 mm in length.
The permissible dimension of the gap (a) visible from the rear is a max. 5 mm.
This is equivalent to a visible gap with a length of approx. 40 mm.
