If a fuel tank has a leak which was caused by an accident with another vehicle, bottoming out, etc., this cannot be claimed as a warranty/goodwill case.
We explicitly state here that repair measures
(e.g. welding, bonding, etc.) on fuel tanks made out of sheet metal or plastic are not permissible.
The fuel tank is always to be replaced when leaks are determined which have been caused by damage to the upper or lower sides of the fuel tank.
