For the countries Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar (Burma), Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam the following procedures apply when replacing brake fluid:
Vehicles with Sensotronic Brake Control (SBC) must replace the brake fluid annually. The brake fluid is changed as part of the maintenance.
The additional brake fluid change
(1., 3., 5. year of operation etc.) is not billed to the customer and can be settled through damage code 43 279 01
"Replace brake fluid".
The regular brake fluid change as per the specifications in the WIS service sheets (2., 4., 6. year of operation etc.) is conducted as usual through a separate invoice to the customer.
The annual brake fluid change and its documentation are to be ensured through suitable measures, for example through appropriate local service sheets and entries into the service booklet.
On model 211 and 219 with ASSYST Plus the brake fluid change is not confirmed in the instrument cluster (service menu "Additional work").
