0241 - Reconditioning of the injection timing device Engines 601, 602.91, 603.91 (note deviations for off-road vehicles)

Segment flange (18b) at sprocket (18f)

pull off, fit on. Take off compression springs (18k) and governor weights (18d), insert. Examine parts for wear, replace if necessary.

Drive hug (18l) on sprocket (18f)

remove, install. To do this, unscrew bolts (18c), screw in. Tightening torque 25 Nm.

Bush (18e)

remove, install. Examine for wear, replace if necessary.

Cam (18g) of sprocket (18f)

pull off, fit on. Unscrew bolts (18h) for this purpose, screw in. Inspect cam for signs of wear and replace, if necessary.

Tightening torque 15 Nm.

Note

If the pulley or bearing of the piston vacuum pump are damaged, check whether the drive flange with cam at the injection timing device is damaged and replace part, if necessary.
