Plug connection at ARA actuator (Y 22/3) | unplug, plug in. |
Screw (6b) | remove, insert. |
Bracket (6c) | remove, install. |
Actuator (Y 22/3) | remove, install, electrical connection must face up. |
O-ring (161) | replace. |
Stroke rod (163) | insert in new electromagnetic actuator. |
Distinguishing features between ARA and ELR electromagnetic actuators

Repair instructions for the renewal of the ARA electromagnetic actuator
When renewing the ARA electromagnetic actuator the old stroke rod (163) must be installed into the new electromagnetic actuator.
This is to ensure that the clearance "b" is correct. If the stroke rod (163) is defective the injection pump must be calibrated on the test stand.
