Operation:

The compressed air that activates the valves of the group (BV) comes from the groups DE and DS.

Brake pedal valve (13.02):

It uses the air stored in the compressed air reservoirs (5.01), braking the vehicle when the driver applies the brake pedal. It ensures the vehicle to have a gradual braking and proportional to the effort deployed on the brake pedal.

In the outlet (21) of the valve (13.02), the compressed air goes to a pressure shut-off device (10.02) and flows through the quick discharge valve (28.02) getting to the rear axle cylinder (22.01).

In the outlet (22) of the brake pedal valve (13.02), the air is sent directly to the front axle cylinder (20.02).

The quick discharge valves (28.02) work on the rapid draining of the compressed air that returns from the circuit, shortening the time it would take for the discharge to be done on the brake pedal valve (13.02).

Parking brake manual valve (14.08):

When applied, it allows the progressive application or non-application of the parking brake.

In the outlet (21), a control pressure goes to the relay valve (16.01) which sends air to the two-way valve (28.01).

In the outlet (23), a control pressure goes directly to the two-way valve (28.01).

The two-way valves (28.01) are controlled by two sides. Receiving air from two different circuits, they direct the highest pressure to the rear axle cylinders (22.01) and to a pressure shut-off device (10.01).
