Task

Controlling and storing the fuel required for injection.

Function

The rail pressure sensor (B4/6) measures the current fuel pressure in the valve block and thus also in the rails (21), and transmits a matching voltage signal to the CDI control unit (N3/9). The CDI control unit (N3/9) detects the current operating condition of the engine and the current driver request on the basis of the input signals received. The rail pressure is adapted by energizing the pressure control valve (Y74) with a map-dependent control current until the specified pressure is achieved in the valve block (21/7).
