Function
The fuel pump (13) vane cell pump is driven by the drive shaft (13/3).
The housing (13/4) is positioned excentrically to the drive shaft (13/3) as a result of which the volume behind the vane (13/6a) is enlarged when the inlet slot (a) is crossed. As a result of the enlarged volume fuel is drawn through the inlet slot (a) by the fuel feed (F).
The fuel enclosed in each case between two spring tension vanes and, as the vane cell wheel (13/5) rotates further, the fuel flows into the area of the outlet slot (b), as a result of which the volume is reduced and the delivery pressure is thus created.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The consequence of this is that the fuel is forced into the outlet slot (b). The fuel flows from the outlet slot (b) into the interior of the pump (A). At the same time part of the fuel flows through a second drilling to the pressure control valve (13/7).
The operation of the overflow valve with restrictor (15/1) and pressure control valve (13/7) is harmonized as a precisely defined fuel pressure is required in the interior of the pump in line with engine speed.
Note
At least one injection pipe must be briefly opened for restarting or if the tank has been run empty.
