Task

Reducing jerks during load changes.

Function

The DFI [EVE] control module (N3/8) calculates irregularities in engine speed (as may be caused by load changes or during gearshifts) on the basis of the signal supplied by the crankshaft position sensor (L5/6).

Such irregularities are reduced by specifically controlling the injection quantity at all the cylinders.
