1 Making hole in cab rear wall for air heater cable leadthrough:
Mark drilling location in cab rear wall as shown in diagram.
a = 45 mm
B = 50 mm
Pre-drill holes and then mill holes to size of 36 mm.
Deburr drill hole and apply anticorrosion agent.

Start routing wiring harness beneath driver's seat box. On routing leads and wiring harnesses, secure to the existing wiring harnesses with tie straps. Avoid chafing points, if necessary install chafe guard. Cut off or tie back excess wires and leads.
2 Lead auxiliary fuse holder and ground branch-off line (12) into driver's seat box from below via the cable leadthrough (11).

3 Connect brown wire (3) to the seat box ground point (W5) in the driver's seat box.
4 Attach 3-way auxiliary fuse holder (2) at a suitable point in the driver's seat box, e.g. to the relay strip.
5 Insert fuses into auxiliary fuse holder:
Wire 2.5 red 25 A fuse
Wire 1.0 red 7.5 A fuse
6 Close driver's seat box cable leadthrough (11) again.

7 Lower fuel tank by approx. 30 mm to route lines.
8 Route air heater branch-off line with 12-pin plug (16) toward rear in vicinity of fuel tank and lead into cab through breakthrough for cable leadthrough in cab rear wall.
Ensure that there is adequate clearance from propeller shaft when routing air heater branch-off line.
9 Insert branch-off line grommet (10) into cable leadthrough.
10 Re-fit fuel tank.

12 Route timer branch-off line (13) with blue/red, black/blue and green, gray/green and red and red wires (4, 6, 7, 8) toward front along longitudinal frame member into engine compartment.
13 Open front end waistrail cable leadthrough (14) above battery.
14 Lead timer branch-off line with blue/red, black/blue and green, gray/green and red wires into cab through cable leadthrough.
15 Connect red wire (8) to positive terminal of battery.
16 Close front end waistrail cable leadthrough again.

17 Insert blue/red wire (4) of timer branch-off line into chamber 10 of diagnostic socket (P11).
The diagram shows the plug side of the diagnostic socket (P11).
18 Route timer branch-off line with black, blue and green (6) and gray/green and red (7) wires behind unscrewed instrument cluster to center console.
19 Insulate black/blue and green wire and strap down.

20 Prepare voltage supply (circuit 58) for timer illumination:
Unpin gray/green and red wire from chamber 9 of 21-pin plug removed from air conditioning control and operating unit.
Insert gray/green and red wire (7) and unpinned wire together into chamber 9 with a pin socket.
The illustration shows the wire entrance side of the 21-pin plug.
