Risk of injury. Injury may result when the tension in the spring in the automatic belt retractor is released.

Never disassemble automatic belt retractors.

Move seat forward

Remove covering for bolt (8) on belt end fitting (3)

Unscrew bolt (8) from belt end fitting (3)



Push covering for seat belt guide bracket (1) upward and remove it

Undo nut from seat belt guide bracket (1)



Remove B-pillar lining

 Only for model 461.331 without protection kit and without rotary ring on roof.

Remove bolt from automatic belt retractor (2)



Remove automatic belt retractor

 Noise in the inertia reel during seat belt retraction is caused by operation. The only available response to negative customer feedback regarding unacceptable noise levels is to replace the seat belt assembly in its entirety. Never use oil or grease to eliminate noise.

 Installation: Pay attention to different automatic belt retractor versions (left or right) and ensure that they are correctly seated in their catches.
