Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been drained.

Remove paneling of condenser unit

Remove protective nut (5) over manually operated shutoff valve

Screw in manually operated shutoff valve completely

 When the A/C mode is switched off, the electric shutoff valve (6) of the cooling circuit is automatically disabled.
The electrical shutoff valve (6) is responsible for the function of the second manually operated shutoff valve.

Connect A/C suction and recycling equipment to filler connection (4)

 Pay attention to the operating instructions of the A/C suction and recycling equipment.

Empty closed-off circuit of filter drier (1) via filler connection (4) using A/C suction and recycling equipment

 Installation: Evacuate closed-off circuit of filter drier (1) via filler connection (4) using A/C suction and recycling equipment for at least 15 minutes and check for leaktightness.

Loosen clamp (2)

Detach refrigerant lines (3) from filter drier (1)



Compressor oils (specification 362.0)

 Installation: Use new sealing rings. Coat sealing rings with compressor oil before installation.

Remove and dispose of filter drier (1)

 Installation:
Check packaging of filter drier (1) for damage. Discard filter driers (1) with damaged packaging.
The filter drier (1) must be installed immediately after opening the packaging.
Observe direction of flow of filter drier (1).
