STAR DIAGNOSIS temporarily

When replacing the Comfort AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22/7).

 Installation: Transfer temporarily stored basic data to the new comfort AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22/7).



Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory

Remove cover of comfort AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22/7)

 Do not disconnect electrical connectors from upper control panel control unit.

Remove bolts (1)

Remove radio cover's carrier frame, put down in the area of the center air outlet and prevent from falling

Pull out radio or COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3) toward the rear from instrument panel (2), put down in the area of the center air outlet and prevent from falling

Tilt top of comfort AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22/7) forward and take out of the side mountings (arrows) on the instrument panel (2)

Press in catch lugs on side of comfort AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22/7) using a suitable screwdriver and loosen comfort AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22/7) from the instrument panel (2)

Lead comfort AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22/7) backward and out of instrument panel (2) until electrical connector (3) and electrical connector (4) are accessible

 Swivel comfort AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22/7) forward on the left side and then lead on the right side out of the instrument panel (2).

8.1

Place radio or COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3) down at installation location in instrument panel (2)

Release electrical connector (4), disconnect, and remove comfort AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22/7)
