Remove/install refrigerant lines on refrigerant compressor

Remove/install

 Danger!

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Risk of explosion from welding or soldering work on closed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning from inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by contact with liquid refrigerant.

Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been discharged.

Remove bolt (1)



Unscrew bolts (2, 3)

Remove refrigerant intake line (4).

 Installation: Replace refrigerant line sealing rings and moisten with compressor oil.

Unscrew nut (5)



Remove refrigerant pressure line (6).

 Installation: Replace refrigerant line sealing rings and moisten with compressor oil.

Plug opening of refrigerant line with suitable cap and with suitable stop plug

 The refrigerant line opening must be sealed, as otherwise penetrating dirt and moisture can damage the components connected to the refrigerant circuit.
