Danger

Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing battery electrolyte or absorption of lead through the skin or body orifices. Risk of death due to voltage U >= 30 V AC and U >= 60 V DC.

No fires, sparks, open flames, or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing, and glasses. Pour battery acid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

Remove trims in trunk

Remove screw/bolts (2) .

Remove nut (3) and screw (4) on holder (1).

Remove CD player with changer (in trunk) (A2/6) with holder (1) from left wheel well


Do not kink or stretch fiber-optic cable!
The series production wiring harness (23) must not be damaged.

Unlock optical connector (11) on CD player with changer (in trunk) (A2/6) and detach


Do not kink or stretch fiber-optic cable,
Routing radii must be greater than 25 mm!

If the CD player with changer (in trunk) (A2/6) is to remain removed for a longer period of time, an adapter must be installed to close the fiber-optic cable ring.

Detach black, 3-pin connector (24) (power supply) from CD player with changer (in trunk) (A2/6)

Detach black, 8-pin connector (33) (navigation processor power supply), blue connector (34) (GPS antenna line) and optical connector (31) from navigation processor (N41/1)

Only with COMAND APS (with navigation) code (527a).

Unscrew 4 screws M46 (21) at right and left from holder (1) and remove CD player with changer (in trunk) (A2/6) from holder (1)

Install in the reverse order

The holder (1) is locked in the holder (6) with the locking lugs (25).
