Wear protective clothing and tight-fitting safety glasses. No open flames, fire or ignition sources. Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes and skin. When working with window washing fluids or antifreeze, do not eat, drink, or smoke. Do not inhale vapors and ensure sufficient ventilation in the working area. Store window washing fluid and antifreeze leakfree in safely closed original containers and out of the reach of children.

Remove/install

Remove left wheel well liner.

Unscrew nut (2) and pull off filler neck (1).

Loosen screws (3) on stationary heater unit (A6) and pull stationary heater unit (A6) out of holder (4).

Remove bracket (4).

Remove screws (5) and lift washer fluid reservoir (6) out of wheel well.

Release and disconnect electrical connector at windshield washer system water level check switch (S42).

Disconnect cable tie and detach washer fluid hose from windshield washer system pump (M5/1).

 Installation: Replace cable tie.

Disconnect cable tie and detach washer fluid hose from rear windshield washer system pump (M5/3).

Release and disconnect electrical connector from windshield washer system pump (M5/1).

Release and disconnect electrical connector from rear windshield washer system pump (M5/3).

Unscrew screw and remove holder with windshield washer system pump (M5/1).

Unscrew screw and remove holder with windshield washer system pump (M5/1) and with rear windshield washer system pump (M5/3).

Install in the reverse order.

Fill up with window washing fluid.

Perform function test of the windshield washer system.
